Job Overview

Fleet maintenance mechanics perform preventive maintenance on Class 8 tractor trailer semi units, maintaining and repairing equipment to operate a safe fleet and ensure compliance with all State and Federal trucking regulations. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance on all equipment, brakes, rear trailer doors, structural welding, tires, suspension and axle work, electrical lighting, and engine repair. The applicant must possess a DOT health card and have their own set of tools. Computer skills are preferred for data entry into maintenance systems. Vocational or Technical certification is preferred, along with the ability to perform vehicle diagnostics using scan tools. A CDL is required, with the possibility to attain CDL-A within 18 months.

• 4-day work week - 10-hour shifts, occasional overtime required.
