Job summary

Amara in Las Vegas seeks a 1st Assistant Golf Professional to bring the Amara experience to life by supporting leadership and daily execution of golf operations. You will lead the Golf Shop, coordinate tournaments, and provide instruction to residents, members, and guests.

As the second-in-command, you will work with the Director of Golf Operations to drive standards, mentor the team, and ensure a personal, seamless Amara golf experience, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Three or more years in golf operations with lead or supervisory experience.
• PGA Associate or PGA Member preferred with ongoing development.
• Ability to lead, coach, and maintain service standards in leadership absence.
• Strong hospitality mindset to create memorable experiences for residents and guests.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The 1 st Assistant Golf Professional will bring the Amara experience to life by supporting the leadership and daily execution of Amara's golf operation while delivering exceptional experiences to residents, members, guests, and prospective members. As the second-in-command of Golf Operations, you will work closely with the Director of Golf Operations to lead daily Golf Shop and golf activities, coordinate tournaments and programming, provide golf instruction, support team development, and ensure established service and operational standards are consistently delivered. In the Director's absence, you will provide day-to-day leadership of Golf Operations, make sound operational decisions and ensure the team remains focused, prepared, and responsive to member needs. Through your passion for the game, relationship-driven approach, and commitment to thoughtful hospitality, you will help create a golf experience that feels personal, seamless, and distinctly Amara.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Three (3) or more years of progressive experience in golf operations within a private club, luxury resort, high-end daily fee facility, or comparable golf environment, with prior lead or supervisory responsibility preferred.
• PGA Associate or PGA Member preferred, with demonstrated commitment to continued professional development within the golf industry.
• Demonstrated ability to provide day-to-day leadership, establish operational priorities, coach team members, make sound decisions, and maintain service and operating standards in the absence of senior leadership.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to provide exceptional hospitality while creating meaningful experiences for residents, members, and guests.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with golf management software, point-of-sale systems, tournament management platforms, Microsoft Office Suite, and other golf operations technology preferred.
• Ability to work in fast-paced high-touch environments.
• Ability to maintain professionalism under pressure.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and varied schedules as needed.
