Job summary

Live Oaks Golf Club in Jackson, MS, managed by Bobby Jones Links, is seeking a motivated 1st Assistant Golf Professional to lead daily golf operations and help shape the club's new chapter. You will work closely with the PGA General Manager and progress toward Head Golf Professional within 2–3 years.

The role offers full-time employment with benefits, opportunities to plan tournaments, manage the Pro Shop, and develop training programs while delivering outstanding service to members and guests.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn.
• Understanding of Club Financials.
• Must have a thorough working knowledge of the club’s golf operation.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to members and guests at all times
• Manage daily golf operations, including opening and closing of the Pro Shop
• Assist in the planning and execution of golf tournaments and club events
• Recruit, hire, and train new team members as needed
• Create training programs, operational standards, and manuals
• Generate weekly scheduling for all golf department team members
• Participate in our merchandising program which includes ordering, receiving, displaying, and inventory control
• Devise best practices to maximize merchandise sales
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times
