Position Overview

The Store Manager is responsible for the overall management and execution of operational and management functions designed to maximize sales and profitability within an assigned store location. All positions assigned to work at the designated store location report to the Store Manager.

Major Responsibilities and/or Essential Functions
  • Driving Sales: Act as a true business owner, drive sales to achieve and exceed financial plans, evaluate the business and take proactive steps to improve results, set and monitor store goals, manage store expenses, ensure funds and merchandise are handled according to company policy, maintain accountability for store operations, associate development, and financial contribution, and effectively manage merchandise.
  • Marketing Initiatives: Utilize social media to drive traffic, schedule grassroots events, drive PLCC and email capture, and build relationships with community, churches, and retailers.
  • Customer Experience: Provide exceptional service, properly zone the store, serve as product knowledge expert, hold associates accountable for product knowledge, model company values, and develop staff to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Operations: Communicate policies, organize work efficiently, maintain staffing levels, process payroll, execute visual displays, place supply orders, and monitor inventory levels.
  • Team Development: Handle recruitment, training, coaching, and development of associates, conduct daily updates, manage performance and disciplinary actions, and partner with HR for training and development needs.
Knowledge, Skills, & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate Degree or higher preferred)
  • Minimum of 4 years retail management experience, with at least 2 years as a Store Manager
  • Flexible schedule including holidays, weekends, and evenings
  • Drive, initiative, and passion for the product and business
  • Effective communication skills, recruiting, training, coaching, and developing staff experience
  • Merchandising skills, detail orientation, time management, retail math skills, computer proficiency, and POS system experience
Essential Work Requirements
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs, push, pull, bend, and stretch frequently
  • Stand for 8-10 hours daily
  • Use ladders or equipment for store and merchandising maintenance
  • Work flexible schedule including holidays, weekends, and evenings
  • Minimal travel for district meetings or banking duties

Daily interaction across all divisions and levels.
