Job summary

Schnucks is seeking a part-time cashier to join our store team. You will provide friendly, courteous service to customers, handle checkout transactions, and maintain accurate register records.

Candidates must be available 6am–10:15pm and weekends. Training will be provided at store level, with standard duties including coupon processing, payment handling, and accurate bagging of orders.

• Greet customers prior to checking their order
• Check out customer's purchases accurately
• Identify and know produce items and use produce and product codes
• Distinguish between manufacturer coupons and Schnucks coupons
• Process manufacturer coupons
• Collect correct amount due from customer
• Use proper procedure of accepting cash, checks, debit cards, credit cards, EBT cards, WIC vouchers and other payment options
• Complete register record accurately
• Practice and maintain cash security
• Bag customer orders
• Change register receipt and coupon machine tapes
• Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of store management

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Bending Stooping Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds

Working on feet entire shift (4-8 hours)

Additional Requirements

Internal Candidates: Store/Facility Teammates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred.

Store Support Center Teammates: minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred.

Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline).

If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.
