Schnucks is hiring for a cashier role in our local store. You will greet customers, scan items, handle payments including cash, cards, EBT, and coupons, and bag orders while maintaining accuracy and a friendly demeanor. Regular attendance, product knowledge, and basic math are essential.

Training is provided at store level; internal teammates may have preferred internal candidates. Schnucks offers healthcare, dental, vision, retirement, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, PTO and teammate

• Check out customer’s purchases accurately
• Identify and know produce items and be able to properly use produce and product codes
• Distinguish between manufacturer coupons and Schnucks coupons
• Process manufacturer coupons
• Collect correct amount due from customer
• Use proper procedure of accepting cash, checks, debit cards, credit cards, EBT cards, WIC vouchers and other payment options
• Complete register record accurately
• Practice and maintain cash security
• Bag customer orders
• Change register receipt and coupon machine tapes
• Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of store management

Working on feet entire shift (4-8 hours)

Additional Requirements

Internal Candidates: Store/Facility Teammates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred.

Store Support Center Teammates: minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred.

Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline).

If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.

Compensation Pay Range: $15.35 - $16.75
