Job summary

MHMR of Tarrant County is seeking an Occupational Therapist for Early Childhood Intervention to support infants and toddlers with developmental delays in home or childcare settings. You will deliver OT services focused on fine/gross motor, adaptive, sensory, vision, feeding, and cognitive delays and coach parents to implement new skills.

Required is a Bachelor's in Occupational Therapy and Texas state licensure; a Master's is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy and Texas licensure.
• Master's degree in occupational therapy preferred but not required.
• Experience in pediatrics; breastfeeding/lactation, NDT, infant massage, or sensory integration is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct OT services in natural learning environments (home or childcare).

Direct Care - Speech Therapist/Physical Therapist/Occupational Therapist

As an Occupational Therapist for Early Childhood Intervention, you will support families with infants and toddlers birth up to three years old with developmental delays and disabilities, specializing in fine and gross motor, adaptive, sensory, vision,feedingand cognitive delays. You will provide direct services in the natural learning environment (home or childcare settings) that includeOccupationalTherapy and service coordination/case management. Child & Family Services believes that parenting isa very importantrole and that every parent/caregiver can be successful. As an Occupational Therapist for ECI, you will coach parents to learn new skills and techniques to help their children succeed. You willimpactchildren, families, and the community by supporting the parent-child relationship so that positive outcomesoccur,and childrenwill increasetheir functional independence.

Defined Education: Bachelor's degree in occupational therapyAND current Texas licensure in Occupational Therapy.A master'sdegree in occupational therapyis preferred but notrequired.

Experience in pediatrics,training, or certification in breast feeding/lactation, NDT, infant massage, or sensory integration preferred. Spanish-speaking a plus.

Carry and lifting requirements 15-25 pounds.
