Job summary

TreeHouse Foods, Inc. in Tonawanda, NY is seeking a Warehouse Person on 2nd shift to support the Warehouse & Production teams. You will perform forklift operations, material handling, and shipping/receiving tasks to improve plant performance.

Starting pay is $24.29 per hour with a future increase to $24.81 after six months; a $0.50 shift differential applies. Overtime and Saturdays may be required. This is a full-time permanent role.

Qualifications

• Experience following written instructions and process documents.
• Experience in a warehouse environment; food manufacturing a plus.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate hand trucks, forklifts, and other warehouse vehicles with OSHA certification.
• Inspect pre-shift inspection reports for powered industrial vehicles.
• Receive and store packaging and raw materials; complete related paperwork.
• Remove and weigh full pig food bins and replace with empties on a computerized system.

About the Role

The Warehouse Person role at the Tonawanda location provides support to the Warehouse & Production team, driving and supporting key initiatives to improve performance throughout the plant. You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:

• Certified to operate all hand trucks, fork trucks, stand up lift trucks, and other warehouse vehicles within the facility. This certification includes all safety and operating guidelines as mandated by OSHA & will be provided by the site.

• Inspecting and recording pre-shift Inspection Report for all Powered Industrial Vehicles as required by OSHA

• Using proper procedures for receiving and putting away all packaging and raw materials. Properly filling out all related paperwork associated with this duty

• Removing and weighing full pig food bins on computerized system and replacing with empties as needed

Important Details

This is a full-time permanent role on 2nd shift. The shift schedule is: Monday through Friday 3pm- 11pm. This may include mandatory overtime on Saturdays. Starting pay $24.29/hr. and after six months $24.81/hr. Shift differential is $0.50/hr.
