Job summary

LEHR is seeking a motivated 12V Automotive Technician to join our Soddy-Daisy team. The role involves removing factory components and installing emergency vehicle equipment, cameras, and 12V wiring while adhering to safety standards.

You will read blueprints, use hand and power tools, and work independently or with others in a fast-paced shop setting. A high school diploma and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• Must have proven 12V experience and ability to read blueprints/schematics.
• Capable of using hand and power tools safely.
• Must be able to bend, twist, reach, and lift to 50 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and high school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Remove factory-installed interior and exterior vehicle components.
• Install emergency vehicle equipment (light bars, sirens, speakers, push bumpers, partitions).
• Install cameras, computers, and license plate recognition systems.
• Perform 12V electrical wiring and system installations.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace.
• Organize tools and inventory.

Responsibilities:

• Remove factory-installed interior and exterior vehicle components
• Install emergency vehicle equipment, including light bars, sirens, speakers, push bumpers, partitions, and more
• Install cameras, computers, and license plate recognition systems
• Perform 12V electrical wiring and system installations
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace
• Organize tools and inventory

Qualifications:

• Proven 12V experience
• Ability to read blueprints/schematics
• Ability to work with hand and power tools such as screw drivers, wrenches, hand drills, etc.
• Capability to bend, twist, reach, and lift to 50 lbs. without assistance
• Aptitude in mechanical, electrical, and electronic components from various sources - a plus
• Strong Work Ethic and attention to detail
• Capacity to work independently and/or in a team environment
• Strong Work Ethic
• Valid Driver’s License
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Compensation and Benefits

• $18+ per hour, depending on experience
• Bonus potential after satisfactorily completing initial training period

Schedule:

• Full Time-Hourly
• Schedule is Monday-Thursday 6 am-430 pm (10hrs)
• Some overtime is available
