Id-Logistics is seeking a forklift operator with rail experience for our cold storage facility in Delanco Township, NJ. You will direct and train operators, assign work, and resolve issues while handling inbound/outbound shipments in a 35°F environment using sit-down, stand-up, or clamp equipment.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, inventory, safety compliance, and coordination with Customer Service, Transportation, and Maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1+ year related experience.
• Forklift operator with rail-specific experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain equipment certifications (OSHA, etc.).

Responsabilités

• Unload inbound shipments and move product to storage locations.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment; ensure correct counts.

• Inventory materials and supply workers with materials.
• Follow customer requirements for load count and safety.
• Coordinate with other departments; promote safety; report unsafe conditions.

Responsible for providing direction to Forklift Operators, training, assigning work, and resolving problems within area of responsibility. Operates gasoline-, liquefied gas-, or electric-powered industrial equipment equipped with lifting devices, such as sit-down, stand-up, clamp or other elevating equipment to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials from rail cars in distribution center or storage yard.Cold Storage Facility, working environment 35 Degrees Fahrenheit

Responsibilities

• Supports and trains newly hired forklift operators within their area of responsibility.
• Assists supervisors and management of the facility in planning, assigning, and directing work
• Load, unload, move, stock, and stage products and materials using powered industrial equipment. Maintain equipment and materials in a neat, clean and orderly fashion. On a daily basis, inspect assigned equipment. Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods and OSHA standards.
• Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations. Efficiently stack and store product in the appropriate areas.
• Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the exact number and types of products are loaded and shipped.
• Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into rail cars, trailers, or containers.

Job Description

• Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage. Report quality variances.
• Inventories materials on work floor and supply workers with materials as needed.
• Follow customer requirements and/or other instructions to ensure accuracy: load count, stability of product, and that all products are loaded and unloaded safely.
• Coordinate as necessary with all other departments/functions, especially Customer Service, Transportation and Maintenance.
• Perform good housekeeping practices, clean as you go process.
• Conduct operations and equipment in a manner that promotes safety and report unsafe conditions that can’t be self-corrected to the leadership team.
• Follow corporate and site-specific Good Manufacturing Practices and report noncompliance when observed.
• Observe all company safety rules and assist in enforcement as appropriate.
• Other duties as assigned.

Schedule

Weekend 1st Shift : Friday - Sunday from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM

Pay Rate

$25.00 Base Pay + $1.50 Shift Differential +$1 After 90 days

Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Forklift Operator with rail-specific experience.
• Must be able to successfully complete post-hire assessments.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain equipment certifications (e.g. OSHA, company, etc.).
• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment appropriate for the work environment (e.g. protective footwear, protective eyewear, gloves, etc.) in accordance with safety policies.
