UPMC St. Margaret in Pittsburgh is seeking a Patient Care Technician to join the 5B team. You will work with nurses and healthcare professionals to provide compassionate, hands-on care and gain valuable clinical experience.

Role features many 12-hour shifts with rotating day and night coverage, including weekends and holidays, to ensure continuous patient care. If you are passionate about helping others and eager to grow in healthcare, apply today.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of general healthcare experience.
• Or 6 months as UPMC Nursing Assistant/CNA with PCT competency within 120 days.
• Enrollment in PT/OT/PA program or related healthcare training with at least one clinical rotation.
• Completion of the UPMC patient care technician class.
• Completion of eRecord training; EMT/Paramedic preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required per AHA standards within 30 days.

Responsabilidades

• Provide patient care including assisting with procedures and activities of daily living.
• Assist with nursing core duties such as vital signs, I&O, and specimen collection.
• Report changes in patient status to the RN.
• Maintain equipment and report malfunctions.
• Communicate effectively with health care team and families.
• Document in the medical record per procedures.

Educación

High school diploma or GED

1 year healthcare experience

6 months as CMA/CNA with PCT competency in 120 days

Enrollment in PT/OT/PA program or related healthcare training with clinical rotation

Completion of the UPMC PCT class

Completion of eRecord training; EMT/Paramedic preferred
