Job summary

Visiting Angels SWMO is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide rotating 12-hour night shifts for clients at home in Joplin, MO. You’ll support seniors with personal and companion care, focusing on safety, dignity, and independence.

Our caregivers listen, observe nonverbal cues, and encourage mood-boosting routines, meals, and hydration. If you value meaningful moments and helping older adults stay comfortable at home, we’d love to meet you.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for individuals with dementia and Alzheimer's disease.
• Able to provide both personal and companion care.
• Excellent communication and ability to read verbal and nonverbal cues.
• Patient, dependable, compassionate, and professional.
• Respects client choices, dignity, and independence.
• Has valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Capable of passing criminal background and motor vehicle history screenings.

Responsibilities

• Provide rotating 12-hour night shifts as part of a care team.
• Deliver personal and companion care to clients.
• Assist with daily routines, safety, nutrition, and hydration.
• Monitor client well-being and report changes promptly.
• Support clients to maintain independence and dignity at home.
