Job summary

Sika in Grandview, MO seeks a shift supervisor for a 12-hour injection molding operation. Lead shop floor teams, enforce safety, quality, and production goals, and ensure SAP processes and procedures are followed.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of supervisory experience, strong communication, and detail orientation. This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits within a global specialty chemicals company.

Qualifications

• High school education required; some college coursework preferred.
• Detail-oriented problem solver with ability to work independently.
• Minimum three years of supervisory experience, or equivalent.
• Must have strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a presence on the shop floor at least 90% of the time.
• Enforce plant safety rules and union policies.
• Collaborate with materials and Quality to meet delivery and quality targets.
• Follow start-up/shut-down procedures and perform first/last piece inspections.
• Conduct hourly quality checks and maintain 5S practices.
• Ensure SAP labeling and reporting accuracy in production data.
• Support meeting production budgets and shift-start/shutdown timelines.
• Train, develop, and motivate shop floor personnel.
• Provide local end-user support and assist with process improvements.
