Job Summary

Merit Medical is a leader in disposable medical devices focused on cardiology, radiology, oncology, critical care, and endoscopy. We are looking for a Production Team Member to assemble medical products, operate equipment, and maintain quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Operate a variety of testing equipment required for product and process testing.
  2. Review routers to determine optimal line balance.
  3. Operate and understand the consolidation process.
  4. Operate a sealer.
  5. Ensure supplies are stocked and readily available.
  6. Adjust processes within validated ranges to achieve targeted results.
  7. Assemble medical products on an assembly operation, performing a variety of tasks on a rotating basis.
  8. Perform on‑line and in‑process visual inspection of products to ensure specifications per work order and procedure are followed.
  9. Ensure product assembled meets quality standards.
  10. Reject product outside of specifications.
  11. Pick and verify orders for accuracy.
  12. Prepare shipments including labels.
  13. Perform the basic boxing procedures.
  14. Adhere to safety standards.
  15. Working overtime may be required for this position.
  16. Perform other tasks, as required.
Physical & Environmental Demands
  • Lifting not to exceed 50 lbs.
  • Writing, sitting, standing, bending, visual acuity, color perception, depth perception, reading, field of vision/peripheral.
  • Fine motor skills, noise, chemical vapors, soldering fumes.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent and six months of relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrates competency and ability to rotate in specific assembly lines.
  • Ability to meet line rate expectations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in checking information.
  • Ability to recognize, identify, and distinguish between different medical products by appearance.
  • Ability to perform a variety of tasks requiring dexterity and fine motor skills.
  • Knowledge of basic math and ability to apply it in work situations.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in performing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to work as a team member.
  • Ability to visually check work performed and identify whether a product has been assembled correctly.
  • Dependability in coming to work on time and meeting company attendance guidelines.
  • Must be able to work under strict time constraints and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
  • Ability to operate testing equipment.
  • Must be sealer certified.
  • Demonstrated computer skills preferably spreadsheets, word processing, database, and other applicable software programs.
  • Must achieve certification in Production, Boxing, Warehouse, and Sealing within 90 days of time in position.
