In this role, you will interact with prospective and existing customers via phone to promote, sell, and explain insurance policies that best meet their needs. Key Responsibilities
- Acquiring new customers in the Medicare products space through inbound calls provided by the company as well as self generated customers.
- Understand customers' needs by using active listening skills to recommend suitable insurance plans.
- Maximize sales opportunities using ancillary products.
- Build trust and maintain positive relationships with potential and existing clients.
- Quality/Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies and industry regulations.
- Accurately document customer interactions, transactions, and policy details in the system.
- Absorb added information and have the flexibility to adapt to new processes rapidly.
- Responsible for maintaining book of business and providing exceptional customer care. Will be responsible for renewing the book of business during subsequent AEPs.
Qualifications
- 2 recent years’ experience in selling MAPD and Medicare Supplement plans required.
- Minimum of 1 year working in tele-sales / call center environment.
- Broker model experience.
- Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Exceptional verbal communication and active listening skills.
- Persuasive negotiation and ability to overcome objections.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with CRM systems.
- Desire to learn, ability to self-study, and a drive to succeed.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Must have own equipment – computer, headset, ethernet and camera
- Self- starter
Certifications
Bilingual (Spanish) skills a plus but not required.
- Active Resident Health Insurance License.
- 15+ non-resident state licenses preferred.
- 2025 AHIP Completed (certificate may be requested during interview process)
- Knowledge of Contracting restrictions as related to carriers and/or previous employers (Release documentation required for candidates previously sponsored by carriers).
- Candidates not meeting the required qualifications will not be considered.
