CCMS & Associates seeks a 1099 Residential/Commercial Field Adjuster in Alabama to perform property inspections in the field and manage claims handling. You will use Xactimate, review coverage, and prepare detailed captioned reports for clients.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year of first-party property adjusting experience, a valid state license, and a reliable vehicle. This contractor role offers flexible schedules and independent work in the Mobile area.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year first-party commercial and/or residential property adjusting experience.
• Maintain own current estimating software - Xactimate preferred (Cotality a plus).
• State adjusters license (where required); valid driver’s license; working computer with internet.

Responsabilités

• Complete residential and commercial field property inspections utilizing Xactimate.
• Investigate claims by obtaining statements and interviewing officials; inspect damages.
• Recommend claim reserves based on investigation and reports.
• Obtain and interpret official reports; review coverage forms and endorsements.
• Provide well-documented initial captioned reports to the client and ensure quality.

Join CCMS & Associates! We are answering a call to action to expand our roster - join us as a 1099 Residential or Commercial Field Adjuster!

This 1099 position requires a valid adjuster’s license in Alabama.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year first-party commercial and/or residential property adjusting experience
• Maintain own current estimating software - Xactimate preferred (Cotality a plus)
• Working computer with internet access and Microsoft Word
• Strong time management and customer service skills
• Experience in preparing Statement of Loss, Proof of Loss, and denial letters
• State adjusters license (where required)
• Valid drivers license

Responsibilities:

• Complete residential and commercial field property inspections utilizing Xactimate software
• Investigate claims by obtaining recorded statements from insureds, claimants, or witnesses and by interviewing fire, police, or other governmental officials as well as inspecting claimed damages
• Recommend claim reserves based on investigation, through well-supported reserve report
• Obtain and interpret official reports
• Review applicable coverage forms and endorsements, provide a thorough analysis of coverage and any coverage issues in a well-documented initial captioned report to the client
• Maintain acceptable product quality through compliance with established best practices

Knowledge and Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of property and liability insurance coverage and industry standards
• Ability to prepare full-captioned reports by collecting and summarizing required information
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Prompt, reliable, friendly, and professional

Preferred but Not Required:

• College degree
• AIC, IICRC, HAAG or other professional designations
