Job summary

CCMS & Associates is seeking a 1099 Residential or Commercial Field Adjuster in Birmingham, AL to inspect properties and investigate claims using Xactimate. Candidates need at least 1 year of first-party property adjusting experience and must hold an Alabama adjuster license where required.

Applicants should have their own computer with internet access, familiarity with estimating software (Xactimate preferred), and strong time management and customer service skills to prepare loss reports and

Qualifications

• Working computer with internet access and Microsoft Word

Responsibilities

• Complete residential and commercial field property inspections utilizing Xactimate software
• Investigate claims by obtaining recorded statements from insureds, claimants, or witnesses and by interviewing fire, police, or other governmental officials as well as inspecting claimed damages
• Recommend claim reserves based on investigation, through well-supported reserve report
• Obtain and interpret official reports
• Review applicable coverage forms and endorsements, provide a thorough analysis of coverage and any coverage issues in a well-documented initial captioned report to the client
• Maintain acceptable product quality through compliance with established best practices

This 1099 position requires a valid adjuster's license in Alabama.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year first-party commercial and/or residential property adjusting experience
• Maintain own current estimating software - Xactimate preferred (Cotality a plus)
• Working computer with internet access and Microsoft Word
• Strong time management and customer service skills
• Experience in preparing Statement of Loss, Proof of Loss, and denial letters
• State adjusters license (where required)

Responsibilities

• Complete residential and commercial field property inspections utilizing Xactimate software

Preferred but Not Required

• AIC, IICRC, HAAG or other professional designations
