Job summary

CCMS & Associates in Little Rock, AR is seeking a 1099 Residential or Commercial Field Adjuster to expand our claims team. You will conduct field inspections, use Xactimate for estimates, and manage claims with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

This role requires one year of relevant experience, strong communication, and the ability to work independently at multiple sites across the region; a background check is required.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have 1+ year of first-party commercial or residential property adjusting experience.
• Proficiency with Xactimate preferred; own estimating software is a plus.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential and commercial field property inspections using Xactimate.
• Investigate claims by interviewing insureds, claimants, witnesses and officials, and inspect damages.
• Recommend reserves based on investigation and prepare a detailed reserve report.
• Obtain and interpret official reports relevant to claims.
• Review coverage forms and provide a thorough analysis with a documented client report.
• Maintain quality by following established best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year first-party commercial and/or residential property adjusting experience
• Maintain own current estimating software - Xactimate preferred (Cotality a plus)
• Working computer with internet access and Microsoft Word
• Strong time management and customer service skills
• Experience in preparing Statement of Loss, Proof of Loss, and denial letters

Responsibilities

• Complete residential and commercial field property inspections utilizing Xactimate software
• Investigate claims by obtaining recorded statements from insureds, claimants, or witnesses and by interviewing fire, police, or other governmental officials as well as inspecting claimed damages
• Recommend claim reserves based on investigation, through well-supported reserve report
• Obtain and interpret official reports
• Review applicable coverage forms and endorsements, provide a thorough analysis of coverage and any coverage issues in a well-documented initial captioned report to the client
• Maintain acceptable product quality through compliance with established best practices

Knowledge and Skills

• In-depth knowledge of property and liability insurance coverage and industry standards
• Ability to prepare full-captioned reports by collecting and summarizing required information
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Prompt, reliable, friendly, and professional

Preferred but Not Required

• AIC, IICRC, HAAG or other professional designations
