Valencia Group is seeking a Room Attendant for Cotton Court in Lubbock, TX. This full-time, non-exempt position focuses on cleaning and maintaining guest rooms, ensuring a welcoming environment and high standards of service throughout the day.

As a member of the housekeeping team, you will support guests with requests and collaborate with colleagues to uphold hotel policies and safety. Previous hospitality experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred.
• Experience using POS hotel software is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Clean and refresh hotel rooms to maintain cleanliness.

JOB SUMMARY

Our Room Attendants communicate with guests in a friendly and welcoming manner with a smile. They ensure the hotel is clean throughout the day responsible for being knowledgeable about the hotel services and amenities. Provide excellent service to hotel guest rooms in a devoted and efficient manner. Able to clean assigned rooms while adhering to company standards for cleanliness and appearance standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONS

• Operational Responsibilities
• Cleaning & freshening of rooms
• Vacuuming, making beds, and changing linens
• Cleaning bathrooms, and general organization of guest belongings and furnishings
• Guest Services
• Greet guests warmly and provide excellent customer service.
• Respond to guest inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints.
• Ensure guest satisfaction by accommodating special requests
• Team Support and Training
• Assist in training new room attendants as needed.
• Support team performance by collaborating with colleagues.
• Ensure compliance with Valencia Hotel policies and industry standards
• Communication and Reporting
• Communicate effectively with the executive housekeeper and other housekeeping staff.
• Report any incidents or safety concerns immediately
• Safety & Compliance
• Follow all hotel policies and procedures.
• Adhere to safety standards and maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Effective time management and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well with a team and demonstrate attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal abilities
• Previous experience in a restaurant or customer service role is preferred
• Experience using POS systems relating to hotel influenced software

Physical Requirements

• Standing/Walking: Frequent, including standing for long periods of time
• Lifting/Carrying: Up to 50 lbs., such as cleaning supplies and equipment
• Other Physical Requirements: handling, grasping, and crouching as needed, pushing, pulling

Working Environment

• Interior: Limited interior room access
• Exterior: Multi level exterior room access

• Ensure hotel equipment & housekeeping equipment is in proper working condition

CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in a housekeeping or cleaning role preferred.
