This is more than just an HR role—it’s a mission-driven opportunity to create consistency, elevate performance, and align people practices across a complex, nationally distributed organization.
In this role, you’ll be the hands-on HR anchor supporting field leaders and regional teams. You’ll help clarify roles, coach managers, and solve problems that span recruiting, employee relations, compensation calibration, and succession planning.

Meet weekly with operational leaders across multiple business units
Provide day-to-day HR support: coaching, policy guidance, org planning
Build trust across regional and technical teams with thoughtful, steady HR delivery
Handle sensitive issues, conduct fair and fast investigations, and document properly
Help leaders apply performance management tools to retain and grow top talent
Promote a culture of accountability, learning, and transparency
Review job descriptions for clarity, equity, and modern relevance
Partner with HR leadership to restructure job titles and define career paths
Support internal mobility planning and succession development
Partner with the compensation team to deliver fair and market-aligned pay practices
Guide leaders in making smart, equitable salary decisions
Provide input on grade alignment using data from tools like PayScale or Workday
You’re a strong generalist with strategic instincts
You’ve supported multi-site or technical environments (field service, engineering, compliance, testing, etc.)
You bring a calm, confident presence to difficult conversations
You love untangling legacy structures—from job titles to pay bands
You’re adaptable, proactive, and deeply people-centered
8+ years of progressive HR experience (preferably in matrixed or national orgs)
Bachelor’s degree required; SHRM or HRCI certifications a strong plus
Comfort navigating FMLA, ADA, performance issues, and org changes
Experience with modern HRIS and comp tools (e.g., PayScale, Workday, ADP, etc.)
Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
Ability to travel up to 50% as needed (mostly regional)
