Job summary

Olivet Community Schools is seeking a part-time One-on-One Paraprofessional at Fern Persons Elementary to support students with learning and behavioral needs within the classroom.

The role requires an Associates degree (or 60 college credits) or ETS Paraprofessional exam with a friendly, confidential, and dependable approach. Responsibilities include in-class support, progress documentation, and collaboration with teachers.

Qualifications

• Must possess an Associates (or higher) degree, or have two years of college (60 credits), or have successfully passed the ETS Paraprofessional exam.
• Self-motivated, positive, team-oriented individual.
• Ability to pass a criminal background and unprofessional conduct background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-classroom one-on-one or small group instructional support.
• Observe and document student progress as directed.
• Communicate student progress with classroom teachers.
• Act as a representative of the district when greeting and dealing with parents, community members, vendors, students, and employees.
• Regular dependable attendance is a critical performance factor to ensure high quality customer service.
• Other responsibilities as needed.

• Part-time position: hours to be determined by building principal.
• School year position. Student Days: Approximately August to June.
• The primary function of the 1-on-1 Paraprofessional is to support students with learning and/or behavioral needs within the classroom.
• Open position at Fern Persons Elementary

Qualifications:

• Must possess an Associates (or higher) degree, or have two years of college (60 credits), or have successfully passed the ETS Paraprofessional exam.
• Must possess a friendly, positive attitude.
• Excellent work performance, dependability, and confidentiality are required.
• Self-motivated, positive, team-oriented individual willing to work with students and staff.
