Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or higher required or preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Passing of the Parapro Assessment examination is required.
• Prior experience working with children is desirable.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an Educational Aide Permit from the State of Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Support students under the supervision of certified staff to meet instructional goals.
• Assist in reading, language arts, mathematics, computer instruction and other skills.
• Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assist in administration and correction of classroom exercises and assessments.
• Help with classroom preparations and instructional materials as needed.
• Maintain records of student learning and progress.
• Support behavioral management to keep a safe, orderly classroom.
• Supervise students during non-instructional times (lunch, bus, playground, study hall).
• Accompany students on field trips for supervision.
