Job summary

Community Unit School District No. 308 is seeking a Special Education Teacher Assistant - 1:1 Resource for Boulder Hill Elementary School. The role supports students with specialized needs in academics, behavior, and health/hygiene as directed by Special Education Teachers.

Successful candidates will want to help students reach their goals and apply guidance to real work situations. The position offers a 35-hour week, competitive salary at $19.25/hour, and a benefits package including IMRF

Qualifications

• Desire to assist students with specialized needs; ability to apply written and verbal guidance to work situations.

Responsibilities

• Support students with specialized needs under the direction of Special Education Teachers.
• Assist with health/hygiene needs and behavioral support as directed.
• Lift and move up to 30 pounds without assistance, or assist with moving up to 50 pounds as needed.
