Job summary

LEOMINSTER PUBLIC SCHOOLS, SKYVIEW MIDDLE SCHOOL, seeks a 1:1 paraprofessional for the 2025-2026 school year. The role supports the student in the classroom with instructional materials and related needs to achieve essential skills for school success.

Under teacher supervision, responsibilities include preparing materials, assisting with non-instructional tasks, and enabling remote learning when needed. Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to confidentiality are required.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or ParaPro Test preferred.
• Ability to relate to and work with disabled children.
• Demonstrate integrity and initiative.
• Interpersonal skills with students, staff, administration, parents, and community.

Responsibilities

• Under the direct supervision of the teacher, the ABA Paraprofessional shall assist the student with all instructional and non-instructional tasks as assigned by the teacher.
• Assist the student with the preparation of all materials and books.
• Assist the teacher in related clerical work.
• Use computers and/or electronic equipment to fulfill job functions and support remote learning.
• Serve as a role model for students and staff in demonstrating positive attitudes, attire, grooming, and work ethic.
• Participate in workshop programs and required meetings.
• Display ethical behavior in working with students, parents, school personnel, and external agencies.
• Protect confidentiality of records and information with discretion within legal confines.
• Provide student support and management of classroom assessments and MCAS.
