Job summary

Moffat County School District RE-1 in Craig, CO is seeking a SpEd Paraprofessional 1:1 to support students with special learning needs at Sunset Elementary. The role involves assisting the teacher, supporting independence, and ensuring safe, inclusive classroom experiences for diverse learners.

You will collect data, run small groups, provide one-on-one instruction, and adapt tasks to each student’s level while coordinating with teachers.

Responsibilities

• Assists in teaching students how to become independent and responsible at school
• Assists with specialized needs that may include behavior, learning, self-help skills and/or communication.
• Assures that students learn at their own level and have their specialized needs met
• Collect or gather data
• Run small learning groups
• Prepare or set up activities and materials for the next rotation, period or day, help students with self-care tasks
• Monitor students during class, transitions, lunch or breaks
• Providing instruction support individually or in small groups
• Providing one-on-one instruction
• Meet with teachers
• Provide accommodations for students to have access to classroom instruction
• Other duties as assigned
