Job summary

Teton School District seeks a 1-1 Special Education Paraprofessional for Rendezvous Upper Elementary School in Driggs, Idaho. The role supports a student 1-on-1 under certified staff direction and helps implement instructional plans in collaboration with teachers.

Qualifications

• Education: Two years post-secondary education or AA preferred, OR pass Para Praxis Test.
• Language: read, write, and present information clearly in one-on-one and small groups.
• Math: perform basic arithmetic including decimals and units of measure.
• Reasoning: apply common sense to carry out simple instructions and tasks.
• Other: develop relationships with students, staff, and families.

Responsibilities

• Works cooperatively with students and staff.
• Reinforces learning using diverse methods as directed by certified staff.
• Keeps accurate student records and portfolios.
• Collects and maintains suitable materials for student growth.
• Prepares and organizes materials for small group and individual instruction.
• Maintains confidentiality and ethical behavior.
• Maintains communication with teachers, staff, and parents when appropriate.
• Participates in professional development and in-service training.
• Contributes to a positive program environment.
• Performs other duties as needed to support the school.
