Chandler Unified School District is seeking a Paraeducator for Special Education with Learning Disabilities (Inclusion/Resource) to support students under the supervision of the special education teacher. The role focuses on reinforcing instructional material and assisting with assessments in inclusive settings.

Responsibilities include supervising students, promoting social-emotional development, and maintaining a safe learning environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate's degree, or 60 college credits, or a passing score on the Parapro exam (district provides exam).
• CPR/First Aid certification provided.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment and computer software.
• Satisfactory criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Student Support & Instruction: reinforce material and assist with assessments.
• Social-Emotional Development: support positive behaviors and social skills.
• Supervision & Safety: supervise students during activities and drills.
• Classroom Operations: maintain a quiet, orderly classroom and manage materials.
• Communication & Confidentiality: relay information while maintaining privacy.
• Flexibility & Teamwork: perform other duties to support the program.
