Job summary

Contoocook Valley School District is seeking a Paraprofessional to assist under the supervision of teachers and specialists to support students. You will implement provided lesson plans and help students access the general curriculum with close collaboration from the educational team.

The role requires Paraeducator I or II certification, a high school diploma, strong interpersonal skills, and a cooperative approach to problem solving; familiarity with assistive technology is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prefer experience with students with diverse needs.
• Paraeducator I or Paraeducator II certification required.
• Strong interpersonal skills are essential.
• Positive, cooperative problem solving approach.
• Motivation to work collaboratively with the team.
• Knowledge of assistive technology and basic computer skills.
• Good organizational skills are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist under supervision of teachers and administrators to support IEP goals.
• Facilitate student participation in the general curriculum.
• Collect data on IEP goals and share with team.
• Support school values and inclusive instructional practices.
• Report student progress to case managers and teachers.
• Attend paraprofessional and special education meetings when directed.
• Prepare educational materials as assigned.
• Develop substitute paraprofessional plans and assist with Medicaid paperwork.
• Support students using assistive technology and adapt to daily schedule.
