Job summary

Bentonville Schools is hiring an Instructional Assistant - Special Education 1:1 at Bentonville West High School. Under direct supervision, you will support the Special Education Teacher and assist in developing academic, social, and independence skills for students with IEPs.

The role involves small group or one-on-one instruction, classroom preparations, data collection, and supervising students in non-instructional areas.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with children desirable.
• Ability to carry out instructions and work under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist in student supervision and instructional activities for students with IEPs.
• Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Prepare instructional materials and assist with data collection for progress monitoring.
• Assist with behavioral management and implementing Behavior Support Plans.
• Support students in non-instructional areas (lunch, bus duty, playground, study hall).
• Collaborate with teacher for parent conferences and IEP meetings.
