Job summary

Bentonville Schools seeks an Instructional Assistant for Special Education to support students with IEPs under the guidance of the Special Education Teacher and school staff. The assistant will help implement instructional activities, reinforce learning, and contribute to behavior tracking and data collection.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or expected.
• Ability to carry out written or oral instructions.
• Ability to use basic software (Word, Excel) for record-keeping and reports.
• Prior experience with children desirable in a learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Special Education Teacher and/or Principal in supervision and instructional activities.
• Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce learning.
• Assist with classroom preparation and materials distribution.
• Document student academic progress and behavior data for IEPs and behavior tracking.
