Job summary

Aspire Public Schools is hiring a full-time Instructional Aide to support students with disabilities in a California classroom. You will work 1:1 with students, assist the Special Education teacher, and help implement IEP-mandated interventions in the general education setting.

The role emphasizes collaboration with teachers, SLPS, and other staff to promote student success while adhering to Aspire’s values and safety guidelines. A valid background check and work authorization are required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or 48 college credits completed.
• 1+ year experience supporting students with disabilities.
• Able to lift up to 30 pounds and monitor health needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist Special Education teachers in supporting students with IEPs within the school setting.
• Provide services and interventions directly to students under supervision of SPED teacher.
• Implement IEP with fidelity, including 1:1 support, toileting, health needs, and mobility assistance.
• Create instructional materials adapted for individual students.
• Collaborate regularly with IEP team members (GE teacher, SPED, SLT, aides, admins).
