Job summary

Washington Elementary School District is seeking a Special Education Assistant (1 on 1 Paraprofessional) to support teachers in a diverse classroom. Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED prior to hire.
• CPR certification within thirty days of hire date.
• AZ IVP FPCC clearance required.
• 60 college credits or Associate’s degree, or pass paraprofessional test.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with lessons and adapt activities for individual students.
• Support special education students with academic, social, and behavioral tasks.
• Monitor students for safety during transitions and meals.
• Communicate progress and concerns to parents and teachers.
• Prepare materials and help with classroom setup and cleanup.
