Job summary

Qualifications

• Assist a certificated teacher in providing instructional support.
• Provide personal care or health assistance to individual students.
• Attend required training to perform tasks in individual plans.
• Monitor and report student progress and behavior.

Responsibilities

• Assist instruction in various settings (mainstreamed class, general education, PE, recess, lunch).
• Provide personal care or health assistance to assigned students.
• Explain lessons, answer questions, and support problem solving and reading tasks.
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, nurses, and administrators on programs and materials.
