Job summary

Horry County Schools is seeking a Medically Fragile One-on-One Nurse to provide dedicated 1:1 health services for chronically ill students in the school setting. The role operates under the supervision of the district RN and follows health care procedures and district protocols.

The nurse will administer treatments, document care, and collaborate with families and school staff. Requires SC RN license, CPR certification, and a current driver's license; position is 190 days per year.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• A minimum three years of experience in nursing settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reinforces health promoting behaviors using approved protocols.
• Performs procedures under RN supervision (e.g., catheterization, suctioning, tracheotomy care, tube feedings).
• Administers medications and treatments as authorized by a physician.
• Maintains documentation and confidentiality per district standards.
• Reports information and concerns to the registered school nurse.
