Horry County Schools is hiring an RN for a Medically Fragile One-On-One Nurse at Ocean Bay Elementary in Myrtle Beach, SC. The ideal candidate provides specialized 1:1 health services for chronically ill or injured students under the supervision of the school RN and follows district health protocols.

The role requires SC RN licensure, a nursing degree, and CPR certification, with preferred prior school nursing or pediatric experience.

Qualifications

Licensed as a Nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
A minimum three years of experience (school nursing, public health nursing, emergency room, or pediatrics) preferred.
Current driver's license.
Current CPR certification.

Responsabilités

Reinforces health-promoting behaviors of students and staff using approved protocols.
Performs procedures with physician orders under RN supervision, including catheterization and suctioning.
Provides nursing care per IHP or as delegated by the RN.
Assists in keeping medically fragile students cared for in school.
Administers first aid, medications, and treatments as authorized by a physician under supervision.
Maintains accurate documentation and confidentiality per district standards.
Reports information and concerns to the registered school nurse.
