Ampersand Therapy is hiring a 1:1 Registered Nurse (RN) to support a student in Aurora, CO. You will provide dedicated medical care during the school day, including riding school transportation, and collaborate with the family and school team to ensure safe, individualized care.

This 1:1 role offers competitive pay up to $55/hour, a part-time school-year schedule, liability-insured W-2 employment, and benefits including health care and 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Active Colorado RN license required.
• Colorado CDE School Nurse authorization or ability to obtain.
• Ability to pass fingerprinting and background check.
• Pediatric, school nursing or 1:1 nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 nursing care and medical support to a student.
• Monitor health status and respond to medical needs during the school day.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Follow the student’s healthcare plan and medical protocols.
• Assist with activities based on medical needs.
• accompany student during school transportation and on buses.
• Respond to emergencies and changes in condition promptly.
• Maintain accurate documentation of nursing services and health information.

Hello, RNs! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a 1:1 Registered Nurse (RN) to provide dedicated nursing support to a student in Aurora, CO. In this role, you’ll work closely with one student to support their medical and health needs throughout the school day, including riding school transportation with the student. You’ll collaborate with the student’s family, school staff, and educational team to ensure the student receives safe, consistent, and individualized medical care. What You’ll Do

• Provide dedicated 1:1 nursing care and medical support to a student
• Monitor the student’s health status and respond to medical needs throughout the school day
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and care plans
• Follow the student’s individualized healthcare plan and established medical protocols
• Assist with activities and routines as needed based on the student’s medical needs
• Accompany and provide nursing support to the student while riding school transportation
• Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and changes in the student’s condition
• Maintain accurate documentation of nursing services and student health information
• Communicate with the student’s family, school staff, and healthcare providers as appropriate
• Collaborate with special education staff and the student’s educational team
• Maintain confidentiality and follow all applicable health and safety requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Active Colorado RN license
• Colorado CDE School Nurse authorization or ability to obtain
• Ability to pass fingerprinting and background check
• Pediatric, school nursing, special education, or 1:1 nursing experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to respond calmly to changing medical needs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Comfortable providing individualized care and accompanying a student during school transportation
• Passion for supporting students and helping them safely access their education
