Cleveland Heights-University Heights School District invites applications for a paraprofessional role to assist teachers, counselors and administrators in delivering educational services to students with special needs. The position supports remedial and enrichment activities and helps advance independent living goals.

The role runs 7.0 hours per day, 5 days per week, across 195 days per year, with hourly compensation starting at $17.47 for non-degreed staff and $19.74 for those with a 2-year

Formación

• 2 years of college coursework or an associate's degree or higher.
• ParaPro Assessment completion or equivalent credential.
• One year of related successful work experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork ability.
• Experience operating basic office equipment (copiers, etc.).
• Physical ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds and perform essential functions.

Description

Assist teachers, counselors and administrators in providing educational services to students with special needs. Work will involve assisting students with remedial, enrichment and/or independent living activities as well as supporting instructional and educational goals.

Job Summary

7.0 hours/day, 5 days/week, 195 days/year

Minimum Qualifications

• 2 years of college coursework
• OR an Associate's Degree or higher
• OR passage of the ParaPro Assessment
• One year of related successful work experience
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Experience in operating basic office equipment, such as copiers
• Ability to lift equipment, supplies and/or children weighing at least forty (40) pounds
• Physical ability to perform all of the essential functions of the job.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with students with special needs

Salary

Step 1; $17.47/hour non-degreed; $19.74/hour 2-year degree
