Job summary

Special Education District of Lake County (SEDOL) seeks a 1:1 paraprofessional for the LASSO I program at Olive Martin in Lake Villa, IL. The paraprofessional will support the classroom teacher with instructional and emotional growth for students in 4th–8th grades with high-functioning Autism.

Language and Social Skills Opportunities Program (LASSO 1)

The Language and Social Skills Opportunities program is a SEDOL program that has been designed for those students in 4th-8th grades who exhibit characteristics of high functioning Autism (formerly Asperger's Syndrome) and have the potential to benefit from exposure to mainstream curriculum concepts and methods.

Description

Special Education Paraprofessionals support teachers in carrying out assignments with special education students as part of the daily routine. We have an openings for a 1:1 paraprofessional in our Lasso I program located at Olive Martin in Lake Villa, IL. The paraprofessional supports the classroom teacher with instructional and emotional growth.

A Day in the Life of a LASSO 1 Paraprofessional

• Data Collection

Job Type: Full-time, 2026-2027 School Year

Salary and Benefits

• Starting Hourly Wage range from $21.67-$28.57 depending on experience and education
