Job summary

Monmouth-Ocean Educational School District is seeking a PT Paraprofessional (Instructional Assistant) for the Regional Achievement Academy. The role involves serving as a 1:1 paraprofessional and implementing components of a Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) under supervision.

The position requires a high school diploma, 60+ college credits or Praxis Parapro (preferred), and experience with children in a school setting. Excellent communication and basic computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• 60+ college credits and/or Praxis Parapro assessment preferred.
• Experience with children in a school setting is preferred.
• Ability to pass a criminal history check and show US citizenship or legal residency.
• Proficient use of basic computer applications and email; strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist assigned student with daily tasks and transitions.
• Support students and teacher to achieve instructional goals.
• Reinforce material introduced by the teacher under supervision.
• Escort students between classes and help with mobility as needed.
• Support academic, social, and emotional development of students.
• Maintain professional relationships with students and staff.
• Attend to attendance, appearance, and punctuality.
