Job summary

Mukilteo School District in Everett, WA is seeking a 1:1 Paraeducator at Fairmount Elementary. Job 26-0603 FA. 6.25 hours/day, 180 days/year, starting Sept 1, 2026, 8:45 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Provide 1:1 behavioral and social-emotional support under a teacher’s direction. Requires WA para qualifications and experience with children; preferred background in SE needs and trauma-informed practices.

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Meet one of the following requirements: associate degree or higher, 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at 100 level or higher, completed apprenticeship, or PESB approved assessments.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with daily supervision of students for a safe, positive learning environment.
• Administer tests, collect and maintain diagnostic data, update records, and assess student progress.
• Monitor and manage student behavior; share observations with teaching staff.
• Assist with implementing strategies to address diverse student needs and support growth goals.
