Job summary

Mukilteo School District's Mariner High School in Everett, WA is seeking a Paraeducator to support students with behavior needs in the MBSC, 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., 6.5 hours per day, 180 days per year.

Starting Sep 1, 2026, the role includes assisting teachers, supervising students, and providing basic classroom support and safety, with opportunities to participate in trainings and district initiatives.

Qualifications

• Be at least eighteen years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Meet one of the following: associate degree or higher; 72 credit hours at 100 level or higher; paraeducator apprenticeship; or passing PESB-approved assessments (ParaPro, Pearson, Master Teacher).
• May be required to complete behavior modification programs and safety training as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers with daily supervision to maintain a safe, positive learning environment.
• Administer tests, collect data, update records, and monitor student progress under teacher direction.
• Support behavior management and communicate observations to staff.
• Provide clerical assistance, data entry, and classroom material preparation.
• Administer first aid and provide medical or physical support for students as needed.
• Assist with crossing guard duties before and after school; supervise cafeteria and recess.
