Job summary

Federal Way Public Schools is seeking a Paraeducator (School Aide) to work one-on-one with an Elementary Scholar in the Deaf/Hard of Hearing program at Sherwood Forest Elementary. The role supports instructional staff with IEP goals, data collection, and student daily living skills in a supportive classroom setting.

The ideal candidate will have at least a high school diploma (AA or ParaPro preferred) and be proficient in basic spelling, math, and grammar.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• AA degree or 48 college credits or 72 college credits or pass the ParaPro assessment.
• Proficient in basic spelling, math and grammar.
• Experience or training in reading instruction, remediation, and assessment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the care of medically fragile or behaviorally challenged student as directed.
• Assist in the daily instruction of the assigned student and other students.
• Assist with the development, implementation and evaluation of IEP goals and objectives.
• Collect, analyze, and maintain data to modify IEP and help determine program effectiveness.
• Assist with transitions and daily living skills within classroom routines.
