Job summary

San Juan Unified School District is hiring an Instructional Assistant II for 1:1 support of students with mild/moderate needs at Whitney Avenue School. The position is part-time, 6 hours/day, Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM to 2:15 PM, calendar 18A.

Qualifications include evidence of two years of college (or higher), CBEST or proficiency exam, and the ability to obtain a CA Class C license if required. Proficiency in supporting resource/SH programs preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience with Instructional Assistant II duties in support for Resource or Special Day Classes.
• Willingness to obtain California Class C Driver License within 30 days if required.
• Candidates should have training or experience enabling classroom support and group assistance.

Responsibilities

• Run small groups and assist students in large groups in Special Day Class or General Education.
• Support teacher needs and provide 1:1 or small-group instructional support.
