Job summary

San Juan Unified School District is seeking an Elementary Instructional Assistant II for a part-time role at the Dewey site. The position runs 9 months/year (calendar 18A), 206 days, with a 6-hour day from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

A 5% Hard to Staff stipend accompanies a salary range of $19.51–$24.47 per hour. The ideal candidate will support students in Resource, Learning Handicap, or Communicatively Handicap programs, run small groups, assist in general and special education

Qualifications

• Experience with Instructional Assistant II in Resource, Learning Handicap, or Communicatively Handicap programs.
• Willingness to obtain California Class C Driver License within 30 days of hire if driving is required.
• CBEST or equivalent test results preferred; must meet requirements to be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in small groups and in large groups under teacher supervision.
• Support the teacher's needs and provide 1:1 or small group instruction as assigned.
• Prepare materials and manage classroom activities in General Education and Special Day Class settings.
