Job summary

San Juan Unified School District is seeking an Elementary Instructional Assistant II to provide 1:1 student support for mild/moderate needs at Lichen K-8 School. This is a part-time, permanent position with a 6-hour workday, 8:00 AM–2:30 PM, Monday–Friday, and a salary range of $19.51–$24.47 per hour plus a 5% Hard to Staff Stipend.

The role requires pre-qualification documentation such as a high school diploma and testing results (CBEST or district proficiency exam) and may require driving

Qualifications

• Experience with students in Resource, Learning Handicap or Communicatively Handicap programs.
• Ability to support teachers in general education and special day class settings.
• Must be willing to obtain California driver license if required by program.

Responsibilities

• Run small groups and assist students in both resource and classroom settings.
• Support teachers with student needs and activities during instruction.
• Assist with daily classroom operations and documentation as required.
