Job summary

ACCEL Schools LLC in Columbus, Ohio is seeking an Instructional Aide for Sagewood STEAM Academy to support teachers and promote a positive learning environment.

You will assist with lessons, help plan activities, support school events, perform clerical tasks, and help manage classroom technology and safety. This role requires an associate degree or college coursework, MS Office proficiency, and a background check.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, two years of college coursework, or the Paraprofessional’s Exam.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• BCI/FBI background check completed.
• Ability to meet educational standards.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Ability to manage confidential information.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Physical ability to lift 25–40 lbs.
• Experience in school or social services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supports lessons taught by the teacher to individual students or groups.
• Helps plan classroom activities as directed by the Teacher and supports parent relations.
• Assists with school activities such as events and assemblies.
• Performs clerical duties like grading papers and making copies.
• Assists the Teacher in the use of classroom technology.
• Maintains classroom cleanliness in various areas.
• Adheres to school philosophy and mission in all activities.
• Performs other duties as assigned, including field trips and duties.
