Job summary

Serenity, LLC in New Jersey is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) – 1:1 In-Home & Community Support to provide compassionate, individualized support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in their homes and communities.

You will help clients with daily living skills, accompany them to activities, and promote independence while following individualized service plans. Flexible schedules and paid training are available.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, dependable Direct Support Professionals are needed to provide one-on-one support.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
• Experience supporting individuals with I/DD is a plus but not required; CPR/First Aid training provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Support community activities, appointments, errands, and social opportunities.
• Teach daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, and shopping.
• Assist with personal care and medication reminders as authorized.
• Provide safe transportation.
• Follow individualized service plans and person-centered goals.
• Complete timely service notes and required documentation.
• Promote independence, dignity, choice, and self-advocacy.
