Thrive Education Partners in Austin, TX seeks a private, full-time secondary educator to design and deliver a personalized one-to-one program for a 15-year-old learner with dyslexia. You will collaborate with Thrive’s Education Manager to build an Educational Roadmap, adapt materials, and monitor progress with structured assessments.

The role emphasizes trust-building, age-appropriate instruction, and flexible pacing while maintaining clear records and proactive communication with the family.

Qualifications

• Structured literacy or dyslexia training required.
• Experience with individualized instruction and progress documentation.

Responsabilités

• Plan and deliver individualized secondary instruction across subject areas.
• Adapt reading, writing, and materials to support dyslexia while keeping age-appropriate content.
• Establish a predictable learning rhythm with clear goals and prepared lessons.
• Build a respectful relationship with the student and incorporate meaningful choice.
• Collaborate with the Education Manager on curriculum and assessments.
• Use checks for understanding and collect work samples to show growth.
• Maintain organized instructional records for the academic portfolio.
• Communicate proactively with parents and the Education Manager.
• Identify when specialist support is needed and coordinate with the team.
