CareSphere is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide one-on-one support for a 25-year-old male with significant intellectual and developmental disabilities in Fountain Hill, PA. The role emphasizes hands-on personal care, safety, and consistency with the individual’s care plan.

The DSP will follow established routines, assist with daily living activities, meals, mobility, and monitoring for seizure activity.

Qualifications

• Previous Direct Support Professional (DSP) experience preferred.
• Experience with individuals with significant intellectual or developmental disabilities is a plus.
• Experience providing hands-on personal care, feeding assistance, and mobility support preferred.
• Patience, dependability, compassion, and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to follow detailed care instructions and safety protocols.
• Ability to communicate professionally with family members and the CareSphere team.
• Ability to complete required clearances, training, and electronic visit documentation.

Responsabilités

• Provide hands-on assistance with personal hygiene and daily care.
• Assist with brief changes every hour.
• Support daily routines and personal care needs.
• Assist with wheelchair positioning and safe transfers.
• Assist with meals and feeding routines.
• Follow the established feeding schedule every three hours during the day.
• Allow at least 20 minutes for each meal.
• Maintain close supervision during meals due to choking risk.
