Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Effective communication and organizational skills required.
• Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
• Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
• Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
• Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living skills such as cooking and housekeeping.
• Help the individual stay active in the community.
• Travel to different locations as needed for services.
• Provide verbal prompting and encouragement to perform tasks (e.g., carry groceries, apply deodorant, get dressed).
• Remain calm and assess when the recipient is upset and determine if a break is needed.
• Hours may vary; additional hours available with other individuals receiving services at the agency.
